I traded in my 1993 Mazda 626 with just under 400,000 miles on the odometer, 387,519 miles to be exact.

I ask if the dealer had a 2017 Mazda3, standard transmission for under $20,000. They did.

So, I leased it with the option to buy for 36 months. The down payment and monthly worked within my budget.

I talked to the dealer on Thursday and closed the deal on the following Saturday.

Transitioning from a 1993 that is all 'mechnical' to a 2017 that is practically all 'electronics' will take an adjustment.

I really appreciated the straight-forward approach that the dealership had regarding the car buying process. I didn't feel as if I was being haggled.
